If you are planning a trip to the Upper Sunshine Coast to hike, there are a couple of ways you can prepare:

Pick up a copy of Sunshine & Salt Air, now in its fifth year. You can buy an earlier printing online at Chapters, or pick one up at a local bookstore when you arrive on the Coast. It's full of detailed hiking, canoeing and mountain bike trail information.
Visit Tourism Powell River in Powell River prior to heading off into the woods. Pick up necessary forestry campsite camping licenses, get the most recent wildlife and logging traffic reports and pick up local maps.
